Rhinoplasty

Nose aesthetics is one of the most important surgeries, because it is the most prominent organ in the face region. Therefore, nasal aesthetics is an important and worlwide done operation.

Nose plastic surgery is one of the most difficult operations of plastic surgery.

Even the slightest error or a movement in nose surgery can be seen in a very remarkable way.

The reason for this is the fact that it is in the midline of the facial region and it is an organ that attracts attention to the face at first glance.

For both cosmetic and medical reasons, septoplasty with rhinoplasty can be performed in the case of a deviated septum leading to respiratory problems. Since the nose will develop completely after the age of 16, it is recommended to wait until the age of 16 before the nose surgery is going to be done.

There are two types of rhinoplasty:

1.Open Rhinoplasty: A small bridging incision that connects the right and left nostrils includes a trans-columellar incision. By creating 4-5 mm, the nose skin is folded up and the lower nasal skeleton area is seen. In addition to the direct visibility of the entire nose frame, the individual components can be evaluated and the disruption of the nasal cartilage is minimized. Therefore, the open rhinoplasty technique is the advanced surgical access created by the trans-columellar incision.

2.Closed Rhinoplasty – Endonasal rhinoplasty

Closed rhinoplasty prevents visible scarring. Technical constraints and specific difficulties may occur with the lack of surgical access.

Also called endonasal rhinoplasty, cuts are placed inside the nostrils, parallel cuts cover half of the nostril lining and the cut is not visible from the outside, which is a way of  preventing an open scar. However, since the nostrils are not connected, repositioning of the nasal skin is difficult and the entire operation should be performed through narrow surgical openings with limited visibility. Since access to the nasal frame requires stretching of the nasal skin, cartilage distortion is most likely to occur during surgery.

To be sure that you need a nose job, or if you just want to change your facial features, you also need to know that:

WHAT RHINOPLASTY CAN TREAT:

  1. Nose size in relation to facial balance and features
  2. Nose profile with visible humps depressions, cracks, or any depressions on the bridge
  3. Nose width at the bridge or in the size and position of the nostrils
  4. Nasal tip that is enlarged or bulbous, dropping, upturned or hooked
  5. Nostrils that are large wide or upturned
  6. Crooks from accidents, falls or any other reason
  7. Night or morning bleeding, snoring or any pain by breathing
  8. Nasal asymmetry
